Low impact protection hoop – floor-level protection against forklift wheels and forks

The low impact protection hoop is a steel safety railing mounted close to the floor that acts as an impact barrier in front of machinery, walls, pallet racking and installations. At a height of 230 mm, it stops forklift wheels and forks before they reach whatever needs protecting, without obstructing visibility. It is used in warehousing and distribution, in manufacturing and workshops, and in garages and car parks, both indoors and outdoors.

Dimensions and design

The hoop is 230 mm high, 1220 mm wide and 203 mm deep. The tube has a diameter of 114 mm. The base plates measure 203 × 203 mm and the hole spacing (c/c) is 150 mm. The hoop weighs 14.06 kg. All dimensions can be found in the Technical data table.

The standard colour is yellow, RAL 1003. For orders of more than 50 units, the hoop can be ordered in other colours. If you also need protection at a greater height, the same hoop is available with a height of 1060 mm.

Material and durability

The hoop is made from steel with a painted finish. The yellow paint makes the protection highly visible to both forklift drivers and pedestrians.

Mounting

The hoop is anchored to the concrete floor by bolting down the base plates. The plates have slotted holes, making it easier to align the hoop in the right position.
