Materials and Models

We carry planter boxes and planters in several materials, so you can weigh aesthetics, weight and service life against each other:

• Concrete – the most wind- and theft-resistant option, perfect for windy plazas and open areas. Available in natural gray and anthracite (e.g. the Fjord, Bergen, Österlen and Svenshög models).
• Steel and Corten steel – a modern, architectural look with a long service life. Over time, the Corten surface develops a warm, rust-toned patina.
• Wood combined with steel – a softer feel that suits parks and outdoor dining areas.
• Recycled plastic – easier to move and a more sustainable material choice.

Can the planter boxes stay outdoors in winter?
Our planters in concrete, steel, Corten and plastic are made to stay outdoors year-round in a Nordic climate. Planter boxes used as seasonal speed bumps, however, must be removed before snow clearing in accordance with municipal regulations.

How heavy are the concrete planters, and do they need to be anchored?
The weight of the concrete planters normally keeps them firmly in place without anchoring, even in windy areas – one of the reasons they are so common in public spaces.
