Rules that apply in offices

Employers and property owners are responsible for safe entrances and walkways.

Health and safety rules generally require you to assess the risks on your premises, keep escape routes clear and prevent falls and collisions. Anti-slip on stairs, clearly marked queues and protection at entrances are among the most common measures. The rules don’t approve individual products – it’s the placement that counts. Local regulations apply. Read more about standards →

FAQ: offices and reception areas
Can the barrier posts be moved?

Yes. The base can be filled with water or sand for temporary use, or bolted down for permanent mounting. Anchor bolts are delivered separately.

How are the stair nosings fitted?

They are screwed or glued in place. Holes are drilled on site, and adhesive is ordered separately.

Can you come and take a look on site?

No, we are a purely online shop. A photo and a simple sketch are almost always enough for a good proposal – and that keeps prices down.

Send a photo of your entrance. We’ll suggest protection for each zone.

Free of charge and no obligation to buy. Reply within one business day.
