How to choose the right one

Three questions that determine which key cabinet you need

How many keys do you have?

Up to 30 or 60: KBX 30 or KBX 60. Up to 100: KBX 100. Many keys in one place: KBX 200. Allow some margin.

How much wall space is available?

Limited space: KBX 30 and KBX 60 share the same compact dimensions, 400 x 350 mm. More room: KBX 100 and KBX 200 are 650 mm high.

How well protected do the keys need to be?

Organisation and controlled access: a key cabinet with a cylinder lock. Higher level of protection: place the cabinet in a locked room.

Frequently asked questions

How many keys do the key cabinets hold?

The key cabinets are available for 30, 60, 100 and 200 keys. Each cabinet has hooks and key tags for the stated number of keys.

What lock do the key cabinets have?

The cabinets have a cylinder lock and are supplied with two keys.

Are key tags included?

Yes, key tags are included so that you can label every key and its place in the cabinet.

Which key cabinet should we choose?

Start with the number of keys you have today and add some margin. KBX 30 and KBX 60 have the same external dimensions, so the larger cabinet takes up no more space on the wall.

Are the key cabinets burglary-rated?

No, the cabinets are intended for organisation and controlled access in the workplace and are not certified security cabinets. For a higher level of protection, the cabinet should be placed in a locked room.

In depth

More about key cabinets: sizes, locks and uses

In workplaces with many vehicles, machines, premises and lockers, key management quickly becomes a challenge. A key cabinet gives every key a fixed, labelled place, so you can see at a glance which keys are on site and which are out on loan.

Four sizes

KBX 30 is a compact cabinet for smaller businesses, and KBX 60 has the same external dimensions, 400 x 350 x 70 mm. KBX 100 is 650 mm high and suits buildings and larger workplaces. KBX 200 measures 650 x 390 x 120 mm and brings a large number of keys together in one place.

Material and lock

The cabinets are made from powder-coated sheet steel in grey, RAL 7035. They are secured with a cylinder lock and supplied with two keys. The lock restricts access to authorised staff.

Labelling with key tags

Key tags are included so that every key and hook can be labelled. With a fixed place for every key, it is immediately obvious when a key is missing, and it becomes easier to keep track of loans.

Where are key cabinets used?

In vehicle fleets and haulage companies for car, forklift and machine keys. In property management for keys to flats, storage rooms and plant rooms. In warehouses, industry and workshops for keys to lockers, doors and machinery, and in offices and schools for keys to rooms and equipment.

Location and level of protection

The key cabinets are not burglary-rated. Place the cabinet in a locked room if the keys give access to sensitive premises or vehicles. If you also need secure storage for chemical products, you will find chemical storage cabinets among our cabinets.
