Warning Light, Strobe Light or Barricade Light?

The terms are often used interchangeably, but they differ in practice:

• Strobe light – a compact, powerful flashing light visible from far away, often mounted on vehicles, roofs or obstacles.
• Barricade light – the round lamp (usually yellow) placed on traffic cones, fences and barricades at road work.
