Crash-Tested Performance

We certify that these steel security bollards will completely stop a 1500 kg vehicle. The stopping capacity depends on the bollard diameter, as shown in the table below.

NOTE: The values were calculated by Transpolis and assume that the concrete foundation is rigidly bonded to the roadway. The stopping capacity also depends on the quality of the concrete and reinforcement used for anchoring in the ground, for which SPL assumes no responsibility.

Strength and Security

The bollards are designed to be filled with poured concrete and rebar during mounting. This provides very high impact resistance and a strong physical barrier that effectively deters vehicles from forcing their way into restricted areas.

Dome Top with Locking Hook – Secure and Easy Sealing

Each bollard is delivered with a dome-shaped top that seals the tube after installation. The top has an internal hook that locks into the poured concrete when the bollard is filled, so the cap stays permanently in place and cannot be removed. If you fill the bollard with sand, the dome top is pressed down for a tight, stable closure, but concrete provides the strongest attachment thanks to the hook function.
