Block Steps – safe, functional stair blocks for outdoor environments
Block steps are stable, easy-to-place stair blocks for shorter or narrow outdoor stairs. They are ideal as entrance stairs, landscape stairs or as part of a grade change in gardens and public spaces. The block steps can also be used creatively, for example as edging or as a low planter.
Each block step has a slip-resistant, profiled surface that provides safe walking surfaces all year round. The module depth is 340 mm (effective depth 300 mm) and the module height is 170 mm (effective height 150 mm). The standard length is 900 mm in a natural gray design, and the steps are available in several lengths from 900 mm and up for flexible solutions.
For the best accessibility, we can supply block steps pre-drilled for a stair railing. This makes it easy to install railings and create a safe, accessible stair environment that meets today’s requirements.
For clear contrast marking on the first and last step, you can choose through-colored block steps in anthracite, or add cast-in contrast studs in white or anthracite. Contrast marking improves wayfinding and makes the stairs safer for everyone, especially for people with impaired vision and in the dark.
NEW! Order block steps with factory cast-in contrast studs in white or anthracite now – a durable, maintenance-free and safe solution from day one.
The contrast studs are 50 mm in diameter and are placed 30 mm apart. With a step width of 2000 mm, this gives 23 studs per step. For maximum contrast and clear visual marking, you can choose natural gray block steps with anthracite studs, or anthracite block steps with white studs.
Complete the block steps with our practical single-step ramp block. The ramp block has the same construction dimensions as the block steps and is placed directly next to the stairs for a smooth, accessible and uniform solution in both private and public spaces.
